Here are the Metrics we used for the Sports Movie draft.
- 1- DO YOU WANT ACCURACY OR ENTERTAINMENT?
Your score is the number of movies on your team that are “based on true events”
- 2- WINNING ISN’T EVERYTHING…
Your score is the number of movies on your team where the protagonists LOSE the Big Game. For the purposes of the metric, a tie, DNF, or disqualification counts as a loss. Paired with Metric 3
- 3- IT’S THE ONLY THING.
Your score is the number of movies on your team where the protagonists WIN the Big Game. Paired with Metric 2.
- 4- FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Your score is determined by adding the value of all movies on your team based on MPAA rating – G=3, PG=2, PG13=1, R=0
- 5- ESPN 8: THE OCHO Scattergories scoring based on sports depicted by movies on your team. If any other coach shares a sport, neither coach earns a point. Level of play does not make a difference, but format (beach volleyball vs volleyball) does. Your score is the total amount of points scored by unique sports.
- 6- THAT’S BUSH LEAGUE
Your score is the number of movies on your team focused on teams that compete at NCAA, HS, AAA/minor league, little league, etc. level. Paired with Metric 7.
- 7- THE SHOW
Your score is the number of movies on your team focused on teams that compete at professional or national level. Pro sports leagues, olympics, Team USA etc. This includes international competitions at any age or level. Paired with Metric 6.
- 8- IT’S NOT WORTH WINNING IF YOU CAN’T WIN BIG
Your score is the combined total points scored during a single team sport movie’s Big Game. For example, if the final score of the big game was 3-2, your score would be 5.
- 9- JUDGE’S DECISION
Your score is the highest Tomatometer rating % of the movies on your team.
- 10- BOX OFFICE HOME RUN
Your score is the domestic box office total of a single movie from your team.
