• Ballpark raft Rules and Metrics

All current stadiums that serve as home field to any MLB team are draftable. Along with current stadiums, all MLB teams’ most recent permanent home stadiums are eligible if applicable. The name of the park is the most recent official name of the park while the team is/was a tenant. In specific cases of multiple names based on specific teams, the name used by the team is the park’s “official” name for scoring purposes.

    1- THE COMMISSIONER’S METRIC
Your score is the most recent year that a home team from one of your parks won the World series. This is purely based on the home team, and not a WS taking place in the stadium itself. For Example, if you draft Wrigley Field, your score would be 2016, even though the Cubs won game 7 in Cleveland. Suck it Tim. Most recent year is most valuable.

    2- IT’S GOT HISTORY
Your score is the date that a park on your team opened, with earliest being the goal. Ties will be broken year, then month, then day, then scrabble.

    3- IT’S GOT A RETRACTABLE ROOF
Your score is the date that a park on your team opened, with newest being the goal. Ties will be broken year, then month, then day, then scrabble.
NOTE: Metrics 2 and 3 are PAIRED and only one can be selected for scoring.

    4- CHEAP SEATS
Your score is the combined price of an average ticket for all parks on your list. The averages were taken from THIS LIST which averages the price of all non-premium seats by stadium. Lowest total is worth most points.
NOTE FOR “OLD PARKS” – Since no numbers exist for older parks, use the team’s current park average. This removes the “it has a $0 average” benefit of picking only old ballparks.

5- BUY ME SOME PEANUTS AND CRACKER JACKS
Your score is the combined ranks of the three ballparks on your team, where rank is determined by averaging placement on THIS list and on THIS list as well. All stats will be included on the stats page for both lists. Since Old Parks are not included in the stats, their rank will be 31.
Methodology: Rank from OntarioBet list and Rank from Thrillist list were averaged into a combined rank, then those results were ranked. Ties in combined rank were broken by cheapest cost of beer +Hot Dog.

    6- A FULL HOUSE
Your score is the capacity of a single park on your team, with the most being the goal.

7 – ITS NOT SMALL, ITS CHARMING
Your score is the capacity of a single park on your team, with the least being the goal
NOTE: Metrics 6 and 7 are PAIRED and only one can be selected for scoring.

    8- OUT OF LEFT FIELD
Your score is the total combined length of all left field lines on your team, with the highest being the goal

    9- FROZEN ROPE TO RIGHT
Your score is the total combined length of all right field lines on your team, with the highest being the goal

    10- SHORT PORCH
Your score is the total combined length of all center field lines on your team, with the Lowest being the goal
